Nice stay in Rome

Room, bathroom as well as entire hotel was very clean (except chair in my room, which definitely needs serious cleaning). Hotel is located in close proximity to Termini station and metro. It was easy to reach the place. Hotel is located in convenient point, which allows you to start exploring the city and its main attractions. Check-in and check-out were smoothly. Recommend!

To be allowed, need to send passport to a .gmail email

Location. Price Free coffee

There is no reception permanent. Checkin process is messy and unsecure- you are being asked to send your passport photo - to some .gmail address. Sending such documents via gmail is risky!! Finally checkin is by typeing in codes into entry keypads, the finding your key from the jar. Its like Fort Boyard..

A very decent hotel at a central location. Ideal for exploring Rome.

Very central location. High ceiling. Interesting view from the window. Extremely easy check in and check out.

Since the mattress is slightly sagging, a thinner (second) pillow would be helpful.

Nice and cozy

Hotel is very nice. Neigborhood is ok (it is near to main train station), but rooms are clean, cozy and beds are good. You can walk to city center easily, and also to Villa Borghese which is near. There is a coffee machine which is free to use which is nice.

Only flaw is that there was no hand shower in our room - only top one (over the head), so it's hard to take a shower without watering your hair. Also, some slippers would be cool to be available, at least those paper ones.

Good for short 1-2 nights stay

The location is nice, it was easy to walk to main attractions. And the room was really clean. The host of the hotel is also really sweet, his recommendations for food spots were the best!

I didn’t bring shampoo and hairdryer, expecting to see it in the hotel, but they didn’t have shampoo. While hairdryer was really weak, I have medium length hair, and It was impossible to dry it out with how weak it was.

Very Good

The hotel position is very good, you can go by foot to most attractions (Colloseum, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna) and also near Roma Termini if you need to go by train.

I cannot say that is something that I didn't like, but I think that can be something done to hot water, because in the evening there were some problems.

Nice cheap hotel in the centre of rome.

It was a nice and small room, appropriate for the price. The room was clean and the staff friendly. The hotel had a nice location. It's only a couple of minutes away from Roma Termini. The room had air conditioning, which was a blessing in the summer.

The Hotel is in a building with other firms and some private apartments. You had to go to the 3rd floor for the hotel and the elevator was not working.

Pleasant several day stay at Hotel Cathrine

Hotel located 5min walking distance from Rome Termini Train station, very convenient to go to the Fiumicino airport quickly by train in 40min or to visit main attractions even starting from 15min walking distance, also hotel is just as far as away from train station surroundings to be in the comfortable neighborhood. Room was clean and tidy, communication with staff for self check-in and check-out quick and efficient.

Value for money can be questionable, but when you look at the rest of the prices this is maybe as best as you can go within lower budget, but arguable. If there is need to be picky, thinner walls could be the issue for someone, some noise from corridor and other rooms can be heard. Rooms are small, spending time besides sleeping seems unlikely, but you know what you signed up for in the beginning. Nevertheless, pleasant stay, definition of booking score 8.

great, close to everything.

the location, the ac and the bed are all the great things, many coffee shops, bars and restaurants around. and the usual friendly staff.

the bathroom vents need serious changing. the WiFi in my room was close to non-existing, those two need a massive upgrade. Also, adding a clothes ironing would be a big addition to the hotel.

will surely stay there again for short stays

the staff are very nice. the location is fantastic. you basically pay for the location; close to termini and a couple of great restaurants just down below. accessible from everywhere. super clean all the time.

there was construction, luckily I was out for most of the day. this time I got a room on the street, the windows were not shutting completely and noise was an issue. also the noise from the bathroom ventilators need a serious fixing. the Wifi was not as good as the last time I stayed here.

Recommended for a short stay in Rome

Location is convenient like every other hotel in Termini station. It was the cheapest option in Rome where everything is very expensive. A clean room. Staff is not around most of the time, but all the information needed is sent by email.

We ended up enjoying ourselves after an initial shock. Stay there if you are ok with tight quarters

Room was comfortable and clean. Location was good. Bed was good. Was a true Italian experience vs. staying in a typical American style hotel. AC was good. When present staff was very nice and helpful.

Space is very small, little storage or space to put things. American/English speaking tv channel selection was almost non-existent. TV was very small. Basically no amenities.

location was handy for Termini, self checkin was easy, staff were friendly via messaging although did not meet anyone, room was clean

Affordable and comfortable

i loved the a/c in the rooms. was very useful for the heat. I enjoyed the bathrooms and quietness of the place. I also appreciated how close it was located to the Termini.

The bathrooms weren't very well cleaned day to day, but everything else was fine.
